Biography

For over 25 years, Adam has been performing in radio, television and on-stage. In addition to hosting 8 seasons of Cash Cab Canada, Adam is an accomplished stand-up comedian, starring in Just for Laughs, Comedy NOW!, and COMICS!, and appearing on CBS’s, Star Search and Comedy Central’s, Premium Blend.

 His career has progressed to include online interactive media, keynote presentations and his own one-man shows. For more than 8 years, Adam facilitated leadership courses for organizations throughout North America as a communications Consultant. As a result, Adam’s versatility and ability to entertain and engage audiences of all kinds makes him a popular choice in the corporate market.

Adam’s professional career began in radio in small market Ontario where he quickly became the Morning Drive Announcer. Eventually, Adam ended up on-air in Toronto before his stand-up career took off and he had to leave full-time radio behind.

As a stand-up comic, Adam has appeared in many festivals, on campuses, cruise ships and at comedy clubs and theatres in both the U.S. and Canada. Bringing together his comedy experience and love for trivia, Adam currently tours with The Adam Growe Quiz Show, his unique and hilarious live show giving people from the audience a chance to win cash or prizes out of his pocket on-stage. His brand of trivia is also being developed into an App, and Adam currently hosts a Twitter version of his trivia game featuring videos, polls, predictions and cash & prizes. Content can be integrated into this game and his other social media for additional profile for festivals and events at which he is performing.

Previously, Adam appeared in YTV’s, Monster Warriors, and on CBC Radio One’s, Newshounds and Definitely Not The Opera. He has also toured theatres and festivals with his first one-man show, The Mom and Pop Shop, about a guy who unexpectedly tries to teach a prenatal class with hilarious and touching results.

As a family man, Adam brings family-friendly energy alongside intelligent and clean trivia to the stage when entertaining at live events. As a result, he delivers a fun and highly engaging performance to meet the interests and needs of his audience and clients. Adam is a father and a Foster Parent with his wife and three kids in Toronto.

The Audience Black Box

For more than 25 years, I have been communicating with audiences in a professional capacity as a radio broadcaster, stand-up comedian, television host, MC, entrepreneur, and executive coach.

It has always amazed me that people, in large groups, or small, can unanimously decide whether to like you, or dislike you, within seconds. My experience with this phenomenon applies to performing in media, clubs and theatres, as well as presenting keynotes in banquet halls and pitches in boardrooms. There are countless variables that influence whether you will get the results you’re looking for from your audience. These variables often affect both you and your audience unconsciously, and there is seemingly no way to control them all. It reminds me of the “black box” in science, technology and engineering, in which the “inner workings” that determine what output you get from specific input are a mystery.

I believe my experience and knowledge will guide you in coming as close as possible to having a “black box” that guarantees you get the results you want from your audience.
